Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her professional moniker Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be signed to J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. In the month of October Ari Lennox debuted her Pho EP. The EP was where she was recognized. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her music to the internet in 2012 when she released Five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release more music via the Internet including Bound. The track Sweat it is featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21st, 2015. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's reference. In the following calendar, her songs was played all over Dreamville. The official signing ceremony was held with Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat alongside Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP on the 21st of October the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and was an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she was able to be a guest on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream, from the album came out the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a a music video. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November 13, she released two more singles called The No One and Pedigree. She then appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on the 26th of February 2019 for her debut album the same name. A music video was released on February 20, 2019 to accompany the track. Within one period of a week, the video had more than 3,000,000 views. In December 2018, she was part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
